Our Trust provides a wide range of mental health and learning disability services for children, young adults, adults and older adults.

Self-Help Guides: Designed to provide people with easily accessible information about common mental health difficulties.

They are based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles, an approach that has been shown to be effective by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence.

The guides should be listened to at least once a day for at least a week, to be of the most benefit.

  • Listen at home when you have time to spare so you can take in and practice the techniques recommended here.
  • You might find it helpful to pause the recording from time to time to think through what has been suggested, or to listen again.
  • You might also find it helpful to have a pen and paper handy while you listen to this recording.
